Microcapsules of adhesive sit in a dry, handleable coating band on the thread. The fastener stores, ships and feeds like any other part.
As the fastener is installed, the mating threads generate the mechanical action that ruptures the capsules and releases the reactive components.
The adhesive system cures into a bonded polymer matrix — locking the joint, controlling prevailing torque and sealing thread leak paths.
